SK-II Skinpower Re-New Cream Packaging Design

Designed in September 2023. Launched in September 2025

Goal of The Project

The project focused on redesigning the SKINPOWER Cream packaging, from branding to packaging deliverables. The concept was inspired by the PITERA™ drop — the brand’s magical and iconic ingredient. The design language emphasizes a plump, rounded shape, evoking the look and feel of supple, hydrated skin.

Starting from Branding

Before diving into the design phase, I began by looking closely at the brand’s existing assets and the cultural context surrounding it. This early stage was about understanding not just what the product does, but how it should feel to the consumer. We explored different directions the brand could take — whether it was communicating the proven efficacy of the cream, celebrating the daily ritual of skincare, or drawing inspiration from Japanese heritage. These explorations helped set the stage for a design language that could feel both authentic and aspirational.
